Easter part 1

Something we did this morning for the coming Easter. Egg painting. I’ve tried to get the foam eggs from artfriend but the small sized ones were all sold out so we used real eggs instead.

Found this set of scrapbook paints in my art drawer and they had the most perfect colours for Easter eggs.

And also other materials which I found, strings, sparkly dust, mini paper flowers, used a craft punch to punch out some stars.. Not forgetting eggs of course! And here we go!

We also bought this Easter egg kit from Spotlight:

She first tried to put the pins through the sequin and then pin it into the styrofoam egg, but it was a tad too slow and challenging so we tried another method…

Put the sequin on the egg and pin it down! But it’s not easy to push the pin all the way into the egg without feeling a little pain on her cute little thumb. So…

She decided to just bang the pin down onto the floor instead. It worked for some pins and didn’t work on some others as you have to keep the pin straight not slanted when u bang it against the floor. After a while ern left the egg banging to me and went on to other pretend play stuff. I tried to do as much as I can but I did gave up in the end and decided to…

We put some glue on the egg and sprinkled sparkly dust all over. If I were to attempt this again, I probably would have painted the egg first. But the end result didn’t look that bad. ; )
